NCP Leaders Pay Homage at Maulana Bhasani’s Shrine in Tangail

Leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) visited the shrine of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani in Tangail to pay their respects. On Monday night (July 29), they offered flowers and performed a ziarat at the shrine located in Santosh, Tangail.

The Tangail district unit of the NCP has completed all preparations to make the July march a success. After the ziarat, the leaders spent the night at the Circuit House in Tangail.

NCP Convener Nahid Islam stated, “Maulana Bhasani was a politician who championed the cause of farmers, workers, and the toiling masses. In Bangladesh’s political history, he fought against the dominance of both Pindi and Delhi. He was the architect of the 1969 mass uprising.” He further added, “Maulana Bhasani envisioned a Bangladesh for the working people, and the NCP was founded to pursue that vision. Following his path, we aim to advance Bangladesh and establish a society free from inequality.”

The July uprising march in Tangail will commence at 10:30 AM from Shamsul Haque Toron in the district town. The procession will traverse various city roads and conclude at the Central Shaheed Minar in Nirala Mor.
