Two Fugitive Convicts Sentenced to Life Imprisonment Arrested in Jatrabari

Police have arrested two fugitive convicts sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case during an operation in the Yatrabari area of the capital.

The arrested individuals are Belayet Hossain (46) and Reshma Begum (37). A team from Yatrabari Police Station conducted the operation on Tuesday (July 1) afternoon in the Uttar Yatrabari area and apprehended them.

According to Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Media and Public Relations Division of DMP, Belayet and Reshma were convicted with life imprisonment with hard labor in a murder case filed at Munshiganj Police Station in 2010. They had been on the run since the verdict. Legal proceedings against them are currently underway following their arrest.
