In a shocking incident in Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand, India, a woman allegedly killed her husband by bludgeoning him with a hammer, suspecting him of having an extramarital affair.
According to police sources, the deceased, identified as Rajesh Kumar Mahatha, had been facing ongoing disputes with his wife, Puja Kumari. The tension between the couple escalated last Tuesday, leading to the tragic incident.
The police report states that while Rajesh was sleeping, Puja attacked him with a hammer, repeatedly striking his head. The brutal assault left Rajesh's head severely injured, and the bed was soaked in blood. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
After committing the crime, Puja fled the scene with her children. The next day, police recovered Rajesh's body and found the blood-stained hammer at the crime scene.
As Puja was absconding, she became the prime suspect. Following a tip-off, police launched a manhunt and arrested her within two days. During interrogation, Puja reportedly confessed to the murder.
