Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the BNP's standing committee, has announced that the national parliamentary elections will take place in February, and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is actively preparing for the polls. He emphasized that the entire nation is eagerly awaiting the elections, which will pave the way for the restoration of democracy in the country.
Speaking on Friday (August 29) after inaugurating a small and cottage industries fair at the Barishal Zilla Shilpakala Academy, Amir Khasru stated that through these elections, the people will elect their representatives and government. He highlighted that citizens will be able to voice their fundamental concerns to their elected representatives, and the elected government will remain accountable and answerable to the public.
He further noted that the economy was previously controlled by a limited group of individuals. To ensure broader economic participation, he stressed the need to integrate ordinary citizens into the economic framework. Amir Khasru also advocated for promoting cottage and small-scale industries in the international market, which he believes will significantly strengthen Bangladesh’s economy.
