Dhaka, August 4, 2025 – A Dhaka court on Monday ordered former minister Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haq Inu, and former state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak to be shown arrested in connection with the murder of Mahadi Hasan Pantho during the July uprising.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah issued the order after police presented the trio before the court, seeking their detention. According to case documents, Mahadi Hasan Pantho was shot in the head on July 19 while participating in an anti-discrimination student movement in the Kodomtoli area of Dhaka. A case was filed on November 8 regarding the incident.
