The Election Commission (EC) has approved the draft roadmap for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. The approval was granted on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The roadmap is likely to be published on Thursday. Meanwhile, the EC will commence National Identification (NID) activities in the United States, covering the capital, Washington D.C., as well as New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.
Ahead of the election, the hearing on claims and objections regarding the redrawing of parliamentary constituency boundaries has concluded. The hearing, held at the auditorium of the Election Commission Bhaban, was attended by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin, other Election Commissioners, the EC Secretary, and individuals who raised claims and objections.
The Election Commission conducted hearings on 262 claims and objections related to 18 parliamentary constituencies across five regions. On the final day of the hearing, constituencies in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Faridpur were addressed.
