Four Members of Same Family Found Dead in Rajshahi, Note Mentioning Debt Recovered

In a tragic incident, the bodies of four members of the same family were recovered from a house in Bamunshikdar area of Paba Upazila, Rajshahi, on Friday morning around 9 AM. Local residents gathered at the scene upon hearing the news. The police have confirmed the recovery of the bodies, along with a handwritten note found near them mentioning debt.

The deceased have been identified as Minarul Islam (35), his wife Monira Begum (28), their son Mahin (13), and their daughter Mithila (2). Mahin was a student in the eighth grade at Kharkhari High School.

According to police and local sources, Minarul Islam was a farmer who owed money to several individuals. The bodies of Monira Begum and her daughter Mithila were found in the northern room of their house, while Minarul Islam and his son Mahin were found hanging from a fan in the southern room.
Gaziyur Rahman, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Media) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, stated that police were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving the news. The bodies have been recovered and will be sent for autopsy. A handwritten note, believed to be written by Minarul, was found near the bodies, mentioning debts. However, further investigation is needed to confirm the authorship of the note and the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
