Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR Unfollow Each Other on Instagram After *War 2* Box Office Flop

The much-hyped *War 2* failed to live up to expectations at the box office, despite its promise of a stellar collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, high-octane action sequences, and stunning VFX. The film’s disappointing performance has sparked rumors of a rift between the two stars, with netizens noticing that Hrithik and Jr NTR have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

While there is no concrete evidence to confirm any personal discord between the actors, it’s notable that Hrithik still follows *War 2* director Ayan Mukerji and co-star Kiara Advani. He also continues to follow several other colleagues from past projects. Interestingly, Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, still follows Jr NTR on Instagram.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, *War 2* was made on a massive ₹400 crore budget. Despite a strong opening of ₹52 crore on its first day, the film failed to sustain its momentum. Many speculate that this box office debacle may have strained the relationship between the two lead actors. Before the film’s release, Hrithik and Jr NTR’s camaraderie was evident, with both showering each other with praise. In a statement, Jr NTR had said, “It feels like Hrithik Roshan garu and I started our careers around the same time. Years ago, when I watched *Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai*, I was blown away. He is one of the country’s finest dancers today. My journey began with admiring him, and after all these years, I got the chance to act and dance with him.”

However, despite a promising start, *War 2*’s earnings plummeted to single digits by the fifth day, with a reported 76% drop in collections, leading many to label the film a flop.
