July Proclamation to be Read at Manik Mia Avenue on August 5 at 5 PM

Dhaka, August 3, 2025: The historic "July Proclamation" will be read at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on August 5 at 5 PM as part of the "36 July Celebration" program. This was announced in a post on the verified Facebook page of the Chief Adviser on Sunday.

According to the post, "36 July" marks the day last year when Bangladesh witnessed an unprecedented mass uprising, leading to the ousting of a fascist regime. The blood of numerous martyrs and the sacrifices of warriors united the entire nation. Streets across Bangladesh were filled with jubilant crowds, with people expressing gratitude to the Almighty. One year later, the nation is set to commemorate this day with the announcement of the much-anticipated "July Proclamation." A day-long event has been organized at Manik Mia Avenue to mark the occasion.

The program schedule, shared in the post, outlines that the event will commence at 11 AM with various activities. The highlight of the day will be the reading of the historic July Proclamation at 5 PM, followed by a musical performance by the band Artcell at 8 PM. The event is organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, with management by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and support from the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat. The interim government has finalized the July Proclamation after consultations with major political parties, including BNP, and has secured their agreement on its state and constitutional recognition. In a Facebook post on Saturday, the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafikul Alam, stated, "On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 5 PM, the July Proclamation will be presented to the nation in the presence of all stakeholders of the mass uprising."
