Kiara to Name Her Daughter After Herself, Reason Will Surprise You!

On July 15, Bollywood’s popular star couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani welcomed their daughter. While they have not yet revealed their daughter’s name or picture, Kiara recently shared in an interview that she wishes to name her daughter ‘Kiara.’

Speaking about the decision, the actress said, “I thought, what a beautiful name! If I have a daughter, I’ll name her Kiara. But before that, I needed a name for myself, so I started using this name.”

Interestingly, Kiara’s real name is Alia Advani. To avoid confusion with actress Alia Bhatt, she decided to change her name, as she explained in the interview.

Kiara also revealed that she first heard the name ‘Kiara’ in the Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor starrer *Anjaana Anjaani* and instantly fell in love with it.

“When I entered Bollywood in 2014, I chose the name Kiara. I didn’t want to confuse the audience with Alia Bhatt, who was already a superstar at the time. Creating my own distinct identity felt like the right choice,” Kiara added.
