NCP Rally Begins with Emotional Speech by Martyr’s Brother

The National Citizens’ Party (NCP) kicked off its rally to announce the “Manifesto for a New Bangladesh” with an emotional speech by Rabiul Awal, the brother of martyr Imam Hasan Tayeb, who lost his life during the July Revolution. The event began at 5:10 PM on Sunday, August 3, at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka.

In his heartfelt address, Rabiul Awal said, “My brother sacrificed his life for a dream. Today’s rally is to realize that dream. I don’t want any more brothers to lose their beloved siblings, no mother’s heart to be broken, and I want Bangladesh to stand tall with independence.”

The rally, initially scheduled for 4:00 PM, faced delays but eventually commenced with growing participation from party leaders and activists from Dhaka and various districts. Large screens set up at the Shaheed Minar premises displayed video footage from the July Movement. The NCP announced that the rally would unveil a 24-point “Manifesto for a New Bangladesh,” covering policies on governance, foreign affairs, education, health, technology, diaspora issues, and a corruption-free administrative framework.
Party activists emphasized that the rally is not just a political event but a pledge to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs.
