Pakistan Sends Another 100 Tons of Aid to Gaza

Israel continues its relentless attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, where over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in the past 22 months of aggression. Alongside the assaults, Israel has imposed a blockade, exacerbating a humanitarian crisis and pushing many in Gaza to the brink of famine. In response, Pakistan is stepping up to support the Palestinian people by sending another 100 tons of aid to Gaza.

The aid package includes ready-to-eat food, baby food, and medicines. The announcement was reported by Pakistani media outlet *Express Tribune* on Sunday (August 3).

The aid initiative was formally announced during a ceremony on Sunday, attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Senior officials from the Foreign Ministry, NDMA, and Alkhidmat Foundation were also present. During the event, the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people. He called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the protection of civilians and advocating for a sustainable two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, in line with international law and UN Security Council resolutions. “Pakistan stands with the Palestinian people in this critical time and will continue to make every effort to meet their needs,” said Ishaq Dar. He commended the NDMA, Alkhidmat Foundation, and other welfare organizations for their timely efforts in delivering aid. The Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan expressed gratitude on behalf of his people for the sympathy and generosity shown by Pakistanis. According to *Express Tribune*, this marks Pakistan’s 17th aid shipment to Gaza. The 100-ton consignment will depart from Islamabad International Airport on Monday via a special flight. This shipment is part of a plan to send a total of 200 tons of aid, with the remaining 100 tons to be dispatched in the coming days.
The latest shipment includes 65 tons of ready-to-eat food, 20 tons of powdered milk for children, 5 tons of biscuits, and 10 tons of medicines. With this consignment, Pakistan’s total aid to Gaza will reach 1,715 tons, increasing to 1,815 tons once the next shipment is sent.
