Bangladesh Bank Promotes Four Directors to Executive Director Posts

Dhaka, September 1, 2025 – Bangladesh Bank has promoted four of its directors to the position of Executive Director (ED). The central bank announced that their departmental assignments will be determined through subsequent directives.

The promoted officers are: Md. Sarwar Hossain, Director of the Governor’s Office; Muhammad Badiuzzaman Didar, Director of the Bank Inspection-3 Department; Md. Salah Uddin, Director of the Chittagong Office; and Md. Mofizur Rahman Khan Chowdhury, Director of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU). The promotions will take effect in accordance with the Bangladesh Bank Promotion Policy-2022. The decision was confirmed through an internal order signed by Md. Jobdul Islam, Director of Human Resources Department-1.
