On Wednesday afternoon, September 10, 2025, Nurul Haque Nur, President of Gono Odhikar Parishad and former Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), extended heartfelt congratulations to the winners and participants of the historic DUCSU and Hall Parliament elections held after the July Mass Uprising. In a Facebook post, he wrote, “I extend my sincere congratulations to all the student friends who won and participated in the historic DUCSU and Hall Parliament elections following the July Mass Uprising.”
He also expressed gratitude to the Dhaka University administration for their patience, strategy, and efficiency in overcoming adverse circumstances to conduct a vibrant and participatory election. Nur expressed hope that the newly elected DUCSU and Hall Parliament leaders would uphold the spirit of the July Mass Uprising and collaborate with all active student organizations to usher in a new era of student politics.
