The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted an increase in rainfall across the country over the next five days.
On Tuesday (September 2), BMD meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik provided this forecast. According to the weather office, within the next 24 hours until 6 PM Wednesday, many areas in Khulna, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions, and some areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Chattogram divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Additionally, isolated areas across the country may see moderately heavy to heavy rainfall. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
From 6 PM Wednesday to the next 24 hours, many areas in Rangpur and Sylhet divisions, and some areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Isolated areas may also see moderately heavy rainfall. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
From 6 PM Thursday (September 4) to the next 24 hours, many areas in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and some areas in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Isolated areas may see moderately heavy to heavy rainfall. Day and night temperatures may slightly decrease.
From 6 PM Friday (September 5) to the next 24 hours, many areas in Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and some areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Isolated areas may see moderately heavy to heavy rainfall. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
From 6 PM Saturday (September 6) to the next 24 hours, some areas in Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and a few areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Isolated areas may see moderately heavy to heavy rainfall. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
