On the occasion of International Day of Solidarity with Journalists, the Russian House in Dhaka organized a special event. Held today, Tuesday, 16 September 2025, the program paid tribute to the ethics, courage, and spirit of truth-seeking in journalism.
The event began with the inauguration of a memorial exhibition titled “Killed for the Truth”, honoring journalists around the world who lost their lives. It also featured photographs taken by reporters working in war zones, highlighting the dangerous realities of the profession.
For students, there was a presentation on higher education and scholarship opportunities in Russia. Officials from the Russian House discussed in detail the opportunities to study at Russian universities, scholarship programs, and the application process.
The program concluded with the screening of two documentaries—“Beslan 2004–2024” and “Russophobia: A History of Hate”. The first reflected on two decades since the Beslan tragedy, while the second offered a historical analysis of hostility toward Russia.
As in previous years, the Russian House marked the day by honoring journalists and remembering the courage to stand for the truth.
