In a stunning display of spin bowling, India bowled out the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a mere 57 runs in just 13.1 overs during the second match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Kuldeep Yadav led the charge, claiming four wickets in a magical spell that left UAE’s batters clueless.
Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that proved spot-on as the bowlers dominated from the start. UAE’s batting collapsed under the pressure of India’s disciplined attack, with Kuldeep’s spin proving unplayable.
UAE showed some early resistance through a 26-run partnership between Alishan Sharafu (22 runs off 17 balls, including three fours and a six) and captain Mohammad Waseem. However, Jasprit Bumrah’s searing yorker dismissed Sharafu, triggering a collapse. Varun Chakravarthy removed Mohammad Zohaib (2), and while Waseem (19 off 22 balls, three fours) tried to anchor the innings, Kuldeep’s introduction turned the game on its head. The left-arm spinner took 4 wickets for just 7 runs in 2.1 overs, dismantling UAE’s middle and lower order.
The UAE batting lineup crumbled, losing their last six wickets for a mere 9 runs. Part-time bowler Shivam Dube chipped in with 3 wickets, while Bumrah, Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel took one wicket each.
India’s chase is yet to begin but is expected to be a formality given the low target.
