Dhaka: Prime Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus embarked on a four-day official trip to Qatar this evening, departing from Dhaka at 7 PM via a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
This visit comes at the invitation of Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, as confirmed by the Press Wing.
Professor Yunus is scheduled to participate in the prestigious “Arthna Summit 2025,” themed “Building Our Legacy: Sustainability, Innovation, and Traditional Knowledge.”
The summit aims to emphasize sustainable development by leveraging Qatar's rich cultural heritage and unique ecological diversity within the country's arid and hot climate.
The summit will feature various events across April 22–23, including presentations, interactive panel discussions, workshops, and roundtable talks.
There is also speculation that Professor Yunus will meet with the Emir of Qatar during this visit.
