Cox's Bazar, May 24, 2025 : A Rohingya drug trafficker was apprehended by the Divisional Intelligence Agency, Dhaka, while attempting to smuggle yaba tablets hidden inside chili packets in Cox’s Bazar. The arrest was made during an operation conducted on Saturday (May 24) morning at a checkpoint in Cox’s Bazar, based on intelligence information.

Mohammad Khorshed Alam, Deputy Director of the Divisional Intelligence Agency, Dhaka, confirmed that the detained individual is a Rohingya national with a history of involvement in drug trafficking. During the operation, a significant quantity of yaba tablets, concealed within chili packets, was seized from the suspect.
