Election to be Held Before Next Ramadan: Rumin Farhana

Barrister Rumin Farhana, Central Co-International Affairs Secretary of BNP, announced that a free, fair, and neutral election will be held in the country before the upcoming Ramadan. She stated that the people of Bangladesh have been deprived of their voting rights for the past 17 years, and this time, no one can stop them from exercising their rights.

Speaking at a workers’ meeting held on Saturday (June 28) afternoon at the open stage of Chuntar Sen Bari in Sarail Upazila, Brahmanbaria, she shared these remarks.

Rumin Farhana mentioned, “You are aware that a significant meeting took place in London between the party’s Acting Chairman and Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus. In that meeting, a roadmap for a neutral election was outlined.” Addressing the people of Sarail, she said, “If I am elected as an MP, I will develop the roads and infrastructure of this area and ensure a permanent solution to the gas problem. I will provide gas connections in Chunta, Pakshimul, and Aruail. I will also establish training centers for unemployed youth. I have traveled across Bangladesh, but I have never seen roads in such poor condition as those in Sarail.”
The meeting was presided over by former Union BNP President Habibur Rahman. Others present included District BNP Senior Vice-President Zahirul Haque, Vice-President Mominul Haque, former General Secretary of Upazila BNP Anwar Hossain Master, Convener of Upazila Farmers’ Wing Mashiur Rahman, former General Secretary of Upazila Chhatra Dal and Chairman Abdul Jabbar, Pakshimul UP Chairman Kausar, and BNP leader Advocate Sharif Ullah.
