DNCC Removes Banners and Festoons to Preserve City’s Aesthetic

 

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is conducting cleanliness drives by removing banners and festoons to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the city.

On Sunday (August 31, 2025), DNCC carried out cleanliness operations across various areas of Dhaka North City Corporation. DNCC workers have been regularly removing illegal posters, banners, and festoons from different locations. As part of these efforts, on Sunday, all illegal banners and festoons were removed from the main road stretching from Mirpur-14 to BRTA Mirpur-13 in Ward-04 of DNCC’s Region-2.

Sajedul Haque, a cleanliness worker involved in the operation, said, “Following instructions from DNCC’s head office, we are regularly carrying out the task of removing banners, festoons, and posters.” Earlier, DNCC Administrator Mohammad Ejaz had stated regarding the removal of illegal banners and posters, “Fines will be imposed for putting up posters and banners that spoil the city’s beauty. However, the July graffiti painted on walls will be preserved.”
