Chinese Medical Team Arrives in Dhaka Tonight to Treat Plane Crash Victims*

At the request of the interim government of Bangladesh, a five-member Chinese emergency medical team, consisting of burn specialists, doctors, and nurses, will arrive in Dhaka this evening to assist in treating victims of a recent plane crash.

According to a press release issued by the Chinese Embassy on Thursday morning, the team will head to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute upon arrival. There, they will provide necessary medical services and assess the current physical condition of the injured.

Earlier today, a video conference was held between doctors from both countries. Specialists from Kunming Medical University collaborated with doctors from Bangladesh’s National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute to discuss treatment plans. The embassy stated that Chinese experts in burn treatment, plastic surgery, pediatric kidney care, and respiratory medicine joined Bangladeshi doctors to review the condition of several critically injured patients from a recent military plane crash and to plan their treatment jointly.
This initiative highlights China’s humanitarian cooperation with Bangladesh during critical and emergency situations.
