05 June 2025 : The Sada Pathor Tourism Centre in Bholaganj, located in Sylhet’s Companyganj Upazila, has been reopened after a five-day closure due to continuous rainfall and flash floods from upstream areas. The tourist spot was shut down on Sunday, May 30, and resumed operations on Thursday, June 5, starting from noon.
The reopening was confirmed by Companyganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Azizunnahar. On Thursday morning, members of the Tourism Development Committee visited the Sada Pathor tourism area. The inspection team, led by UNO Azizunnahar, included Companyganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ujayer Al Mahmud Adnan, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mahbub Alam Shaon, Ansar and VDP Officer Selina Begum, and General Secretary of Companyganj Press Club Abdul Jalil.
Heavy rainfall and flash floods had submerged the Sada Pathor Tourism Centre, leading to the closure of the ferry ghat. To ensure visitor safety, the Companyganj Upazila administration announced the closure of the tourism centre on May 30. With conditions now normalized, the centre has been reopened for tourists.
